And it begins...

I have never been a blogger or wanted to be but I thought this would be a good way for be to follow through with my New Year's Resolutions and to get myself ready for the real world since this will be my last semester of college.

My New Year's Resolutions are:

1) Lose weight.
I want to be in swimsuit shape by summer. I say this every year but this year I want to hold myself accountable.
2) Keep up with this blog.
I tend to start things, lose interest and forget about them. I know this will be difficult since my semester will be very busy but I hope to set aside at least 10 minutes at night to writing in it.
3)Do more activities in my free time that are outdoors, new, exciting, or productive.
I tend to get into a normal routine at school. I go to classes, take a break, do homework, eat dinner and watch a little tv, and do more homework. All of my free time gets spent Facebooking, on Pinterest, and watching episodes of TV shows.
4)Get my future worked out.
Right now my plan is Pharmacy School. So I want to work as a Pharmacy Technician before my certification expires so that I can get an idea of the daily work of a Pharmacist. I also need to complete a few prerequisites.
5) Don't procrastinate.
I don't know how many nights I have stayed up so late or woken up really early to get something done just because I didn't sit down and actually focus on getting something done. I need to learn to get things done earlier. It will make my life much less stressful.
6)Manage my money better.
I need to learn to save some of my paychecks.
7) Organize better.
My mind has too much going on. Writing everything down on paper and keeping my areas clean will make everything more pleasant.
8) Choose my battles.
I need to decide which fights are worth it and what things are better off letting go.
9) Have a positive outlook on life.
I tend to be very negative about things without realizing it or meaning to. I need to make a conscience effort to be positive.
10) Find a hobby.
Hobbies will keep me happy and give me things to do in my spare time.

Today I worked out by running. I am trying to train for the all the 5ks that I am signed up for.

I ran 2.53 miles in around 30 minutes. This averages to 12 minute miles basically. Not too shabby.

I came home and did 5 sets of abs and a few lunges.

I consumed around 800 calories for breakfast and maybe 300 for dinner.

I had Feti which is not so great for me and then chicken soup for dinner.

I also had a cappuccino and tea at night.

Today I started to organize a little bit and plan for what needs to get done this week. But one thing at a time...

That's it for today.
